Name Our Goats!

the goats garden name my goats izzie??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????  ???????????????????????????????

We still have not decided on names for two of our goat babies.  The first one that you see here, who I am holding, is Izzie.  She is Dina’s daughter and has Dina’s very sweet and friendly personality.

The other two little ones are Lucky’s twins.  Early on I named the one lower down, with the darker face, Oscar, thinking she was male.  She is not!  The tiniest one, and the shyest, is the one in the top of the picture of the two together.  She is the most likely to cry, and the most likely to run from us.   I tend to call her ‘cutie’, but that is not a final name, and I have no other name in mind.  Can you help us name our goats?

  1. Awww, thanks for posting more pictures! They’re all adorable, absolutely adorable. I know you got a lot of name suggestions on Facebook, but I have more. 🙂 I was thinking that since these babies are African goats, you could think about African names, too. I found a list of African girl names (well, it’s on the internet, so who knows if they’re for real…) and like the following: Nakato (The second twin), Ayo (Full of joy), Baako (Baby first born), Furaha (Delight), and Rufaro (joy).

Here’s a link to the website if you’re interested: http://babynames.net/

Can’t wait to find out which names you guys decide on!

    1. What a fantastic idea Michele, to give them African names. I love the name Ayo- I am leaning toward names beginning with A for the little shy one; she is definitely full of joy when she is out running around the the pond edge!

    1. Great names Sally! We ended up with Izzie, for Isabeau, Kara, for Oscar, who turned out to be a girl, and Ajla, which means Moonbeam. All such sweet lovely girls!
